  •  Our cross country team competed at the area meet at Blueberry Trails yesterday.  The team had a great day and everyone did a wonderful job representing Birchview.  Some of our top racer finishers included: Sami L. 14th, Michael G. 6th, Meghan H. 4th, Rachel B. 17th, Aaryn C. 18th, Braden B. 18th, Patrick P. 12th, Riley M. 13th, Lauren M. 3rd, Josh F. 3rd and Rebecka A. 19th.    We will be letting runners know if they qualified for counties soon.  Good luck to those runners at Duntroon Highlands.  Thank you everyone for a great season!   Coaches Mr. McLean, Mrs. Duits, Mrs. Dea and Ms. Tiessinga
  •  Jr. boys basketball players are reminded of their tryout today at second nutrition break and Friday morning at 8:00 am. All players who’s names are posted on the list on the gym doors are expected to be at both tryouts.
  •  ​There will be a meeting at the beginning of second break in Mr. Besley’s room for all of the intermediate boys who have expressed an interest in being on the boy’s volleyball team.
  •  ….and the winners of this week’s Waste Free Lunch trophies are….Mrs. White’s class overtook Mrs. Tiessinga’s this week by bringing in 4 lunches to win the Earth Protector trophy. Mr. Brooks’ class has met its match! Mrs. Elton’s class tied Mr. Brooks’ class with 8 lunches each.  Sadly, Mrs. Duits’ class has lost their place as Junior Eco Warrior champions. Mr. Pinkerton’s class wins this week with 10 lunches. As for the Intermediate trophy…Mr. Pike’s class is hot on the heels of Mrs. Ewaskiw class. In the end, Mrs. Ewaskiw had 8 and Mr. Pike’s had 6.  Thanks for reducing your waste. Good luck next week.
