- Tomorrow is Waste Free Wednesday. Don’t forget to pack a litterless lunch.
- For grade 7 and 8 students interested in joining this year’s rock band at Birchview. We’ll be starting with the guitarists on Thursdays after school. Each Thursday we’ll meet and learn some new guitar to get ready for the band from 3:15 until 4:15. Bring your own guitar if possible, but we have guitars for those without. Singers and other instruments will be added in around mid January,, so listen for announcements regarding the next steps. So, guitarists who are interested, we’ll see you on Thursday in Mr. McLean’s room right after school. Please have transportation arranged for a 4:15 pick up – no later. Bring a note if you’re walking home.
- The Birchview Dunes Christmas Toy Drive will run from Nov. 20-29th. Please bring in new and unwrapped gifts (make sure they are in good condition). Drop them off at your homeroom teacher’s classroom and a representative from the spirit team will come and pick them up. Let’s make Christmas a special holiday for everyone.
- The boys volleyball team played their second game last night against St. Noel. The boys played a much improved game and made some excellent plays. They worked very hard and pulled together as a team. Great job boys, all your practicing is paying off! Once again the team displayed great sportsmanship and a positive attitude. We wish the boys good luck as they play their next game at Worsley on Thursday after school. There will be a short meeting in the gym at first break. There will not be a practice today, but we will practice at second break on Wednesday!
- Reminder that tomorrow is our next after school leadership meeting. Please make sure that you arrange transportation home for tomorrow ahead of time.
