  •  Yesterday 85 students from the cross country team travelled to Creemore for the fun run. We had an amazing day for running. The Blazers cross country team did a fantastic job representing our school!! Here are some highlights from the races. For our grade 4 girls, Meghan H. came 4th with Naomi B. in 9th out of 98 girls. For the boys, Patrick P. came 4th, followed by Braden B-P. in 14th and Noah M. in 18th out of 101 boys. For our grade 5 girls, Lauren M. came in 3rd out of 73 girls. For the boys, Isaiah R. placed 19th out of 87 boys. In grade 6, Annemarie E. placed 19th out of 62 girls and for the boys Owen B. placed 1st with Jacob D. in 16th and Dylan H. in 20th out of 60 boys. In the grade 7 girls’ race, Rebecka A. placed 13th with Tristan S. in 14th and Tricia A. in 19th out of 34 girls. In the boys’ race, Nathan J. came in 13th out of 50 boys. In the grade 8 races, Jordan S. placed 9th and Kaylee H. was 11th out of 28 girls and for the boys Josh C. placed 3rd, Jacob P. was 13th and Tyler P. came in 16th out of 30 boys. Congratulations to all cross country members who participated yesterday – you all did an awesome job!! Coaches Dea, McLean, Duits, and Osborn are proud of your accomplishments and sportsmanship. Thank you to Mr. Sammons, Mrs. Grover and Mrs. Baldwin for assisting us on our race day. All cross country team members who qualified for next week’s race are reminded to hand in their permission forms by Tuesday – Juniors to Mrs. Duits and Intermediates to Mr. McLean. There is no cross country practice after school today. Please do some training over your long weekend to prepare for next Wednesday’s race at Blueberry Trail. Don’t forget about Tuesday’s practice at 8:10am on the back tarmac. See you then!
  •   Flag football players are reminded of their first game tonight here against Worsley.
  •   Could all members of the intermediate Spirit Team, Character Demonstration Team and all students who have attended OELC meet in Mrs. Dea’s classroom at first break today.
  •   Mrs. Pyatt’s drama club will be meeting at first break in the library today.
