  • There will be a brief meeting today at first nutrition break at 10:35 for all intermediate hockey players. Please meet outside Mr. Brooks’ room.
  • There will be a chess club practice in the library at the beginning of second nutrition break (12:55), please bring your lunch. Chess club during 2nd nutrition break, thank you.
  • Attention Peter Pan Cast!  Peter Pan scene C in the library today at first break.
  • There will be a rehearsal for scene J at 2nd nutrition break in the library today.

  • Cross country skiing after school today is cancelled due to the weather.
  • Peter Pan Cast: There will be a rehearsal for scene I and J at 2nd nutrition break in the library.  Peter Pan Scene E- will meet tomorrow at first break in the library.

 

  • The intermediate hockey team is reminded of their practice today at 3:00. Players need to be down in front of the office by 2:30.

  • Today is Waste Free Wednesday. Thank you for helping the environment. Green Team please go to Mr. Pinkerton’s room at 10:35.
  • Attention Peter Pan cast!  There will be a rehearsal for scene I and J at 2nd nutrition break in the library.
  • Chess players please meet Mrs. Vaine and Mr. Wonta in the library at second break.
  • Today is the final junior girl’s intramural basketball league day. The Starshots play the Pouncing Pandas while the Cookie Monsters battle the Flaming Blazers. The referees today are Rachel and Tristan. A special thank you to all of the intermediate girls who have given up their recesses to referee these young athletes and to give them some guidance. A list of girls invited to tryout for the junior girls basketball team will be posted by tomorrow. Thanks again for a great two months of basketball.
  • The character demonstration team needs to meet with Mrs. Dea first recess today in room 134.
  • Congratulations goes out to all the grade 5 Science Fair participants. Well done  Emma O., Brianna S., Taylor S., Paige T., Leah A., Emma C., Kassidy S., and Emma C.  They worked hard and presented some interesting ideas. A special thank you goes out to Mr. Bristow and Mrs. Inkpen for judging. Your time and expertise were greatly appreciated. Good luck to those moving on to Bear Creek at the end of March. Could all participants come and see Mrs. Hughes at second recess today in her portable.

  • There will be a chess practice at first break – 10:35 today- in the library to determine who will be joining us on the tournament next week.  Bring your lunch and remember to sign in.
  • Intermediate Hockey – Good luck to our intermediate hockey team who play Forest Hill today in their second exhibition game. Players are asked to meet Mr. Brooks for a brief meeting at first nutrition break to organize
  • Intermediate Girls Volleyball – Mr. Brooks would like to thank all the intermediate girls for a great day at our tournament yesterday. Even though the girls faced some really tough competition, they had a fun day and always kept a positive attitude. The girls steadily improved throughout the season and were a great group to coach. The girls would like to have a game between the teachers and players this week. This game will take place this Friday at 2nd nutrition break and all teachers are invited to play.
  • Attention Peter Pan cast! There will be a rehearsal for Scene H at 2nd nutrition break in the library. All mermaids are to meet in Mrs. Elton’s room at 1st recess.

  • Attention Peter Pan cast! There will be a rehearsal at 2nd nutrition break for scene H in the library.  Scene D – first break in the library.
  • This is the final week of intramural girl’s basketball. After this week some of the girls will be invited to play for the school’s basketball team. Today the Blue Rockets play the Cookie Monsters and The Purple Cheetas play The Pouncing Pandas. Today’s referees are Taylor G. and Shailynn B. Come prepared to play in the gym at 10:35 today. See you there.
  • An outstanding day was had by all last Thursday at the North District Cross Country Ski Race. Highlights from the day include a new Banner for our gym thanks to the Senior Boys; Josh C. with a 3rd place medal and Evan D. with a sixth place medal. Medals also went to Owen B. 2nd, Corbin B. 5th, and Nathan D. 2nd. Other top ten finishers were Jacob D., John M., Naomi B., Jacob P. and Nathan W. Top 15 finishers include Reece B., Zach D., Elias T., Patrick P., Xavier L., Landon K. and Theresa B. Congratulations toeveryone and thank you toour volunteers.
  • There will be a chess practice today at first break in the library. Please remember to sign in. We will be starting to determine team members for the upcoming tournament on March 4.
  • Wednesday February 26th is pink shirt/anti-bullying day.  We are asking all staff and students to please show their support and stand up to bullying by wearing pink on Wednesday.
