Yesterday some students were treated to a spectacular show of volleyball between the boy’s intermediate volleyball team and the staff.  There were many great serves, volleys, spikes and mishaps.  A lot of fun was had by all. Thanks to the spectators (although they need to be encouraged to cheer loudly), helpers, team members and staff that participated. Stay tuned for other games in different sports!

Tomorrow is the last day to buy Candy Grams.  Spirit Team Representatives will be in your class during your eating time to sell the Candy Grams.  Remember they cost 50 cents for one or two for $1.00.  Spread Holiday Cheer and send a Candy Gram.

Daily Announcements

Friday December 6, 2013

Any students in grade 6, 7, and 8, who missed the sign up on Tuesday for the intermediate ice hockey team, are asked to come to Mr. Brooks’ room, number 217, at second nutrition break today.

Grade 3 and 4 students interested in joining a soccer intermural league are to meet Mr. Floyd at recess in the gym.  Sign up if you are interested in playing on a team during recess.  The Intermediate Intermural Team will help organize and ref the games.

Yesterday the staff and boys volleyball team played and it was extremely fun for all! Even though the staff were rusty, they still managed to defeat the hard playing boys.  There were many students that wanted to watch this match so to raise some money for the Grade 8 trip, we are going to have rematch that students can watch next Wednesday, Dec. 11th at 2nd nutritional break (1:00).  The grade 7 and 8 students must pay ahead $1.00 as an admittance fee. There will only be 60 seats so make sure you bring your loonie in and there will be tickets selling starting Monday at 9:00.  Ms. Winstone will collect the loonies at that time from each of the intermediate classes and write down the names of the students that wish to attend.  We are also asking the staff members to wear red and the students wear green to show our festive spirit.  Join us for the best match of the season!
